I struggle to see texts and contacts on mobiles so i need something where you can change the font size or the screen can be zoomed. Was thinking the HTC s or maybe the iphone but i dont know if these both have these options. Any suggestions?

On the iPhone there are accessibility options - you can make the text in Contacts, mail, messages & notes larger (choice of 6 sizes up to 56pt)
You can also have the text White on black, which can make it easier to read, though it also reverses colours on webpages and photos.

In the web browser you can zoom and out by 'pinching' two fingers in and out - the maximum size it will go makes the word Mumsnet under the logo at the top of the page show mu and half the m on potrait orientation and mum and half the s on landscape.

There's also a zoom setting you can turn on so that if you double tap with 3 fingers it zooms in - you have to use three fingers to move around too. This works with all screens, not just the web browser

HTC HD7 has a really big screen and worth a look at. I have poor eyesight and can manage ok.
