Quick Word 2007 question, anyone about?

I am adding page numbers to my essay but need to start it from page 2. On the older Word there is a check box to start at page 2 but I don't know how to do it on the newer one. Anyone help please? Ta.

Insert -> Page Number -> Format Page Numbers -> Start at (2)

Then

Insert -> Page Number -> Bottom of Page (or whereever)

There might be a quicker way....i'm not really a Word expert.

If you start at 2, it labels page 1 as page 2 IYKWIM.

So you want page numbers on all pages except the first page, yes?

Insert -> Footer -> Edit Footer

Set up the page number in the footer as required, then tick the "Different First Page" tick box. You'll then have a footer marked "First Page Footer" which you can leave blank.

Thans snorbs, dd has just tested it and it works. I wont let her near my essay though. Thank you.
