Something's attacking my word docs. Please help anyone? I have deadlines!

Suddenly loads of arrows and '91's (but with the space in the 9 filled in) have appeared all over all my word docs.

I restored to an earlier date but it's made no difference.

Please...any suggestions?

You've turned on the show/hide paragraph formatting. There should be a button on the top menu that looks like the filled in 9 (actually a paragraph mark) - mines is next to the zoom percentage. Click on that and the dots and dashes should disappear.

Well, I think that's what it is. Do they still appear when you print as, if they do, I have no idea. Sorry.

And if this is an Aprils Fool then I am thumping my head against the desk. Doh
