I am going on hols on Saturday (Yippeeee!!) and want to make sure I don't inadvertantly run up any bills.

So I just need to turn the mobile internet option off right? Anything else? What else could cost me money? GPS? Is there a data roaming option that is separate?

Oh and what about using it just for text messages do I have to do anything to use it abroad?

Many thanks Smile

Definitely make sure data roaming is turned off.

My GF has the Wildfire. Can't remember exactly but think its in settings -> Wireless -> Mobile Networks.

GPS is free so don't worry about that.

Oh and of course you may want to check with your service provider to ensure you can roam on their network.

Ok thanks Smile

I had just assumed it would be ok to use abroad so will have to ring them up I guess (usually try and avoid this as I can never hear them very well and have to pay for the privilege!)

Ooh another thought - do I need to turn voicemall off or does it only cost me if I actually listen to it?

Not sure....ask them whilst you are on the phone to them. I don't have voicemail on my phone. If its important, people can call me back!
