Laptop sound all distorted

Any ideas how to fix it?

When I'm trying to view something on youtube (for example) the sound is all jumpy. It's very annoying!

Does everything sound like that? So for example, if you play music?

Have you tried plugging in some headphones? This will tell you if its the speaker or some software issue.

Lastly, look on your task bar, on the right hand side for a Realtek sound icon. I've seen it where people have accidentally enabled different modes (eg. Karaoke) and make the sound all different.

Yep it's like that with headphones as well.

Think it might be because my computer is running slow as well. I'm going to try clear some disk space up to see if that resolves it.

Sounds like a sound driver/setting issue. Check the sound icon I described above.

Does the video play ok and it's just the sound?

I just have the bog standard sound thing, or should I have something else?

Videos on youtube are a bit jumpy as well, thinks it's a drive issue tbh.
