Best way to store digital photos?

Looks like the laptop with all our digital photos on it has died.

I do have backups on CD/DVD, and the best ones on Facebook, but would prefer a better solution. There must be something better online.

What other options are there? Flickr?

I'm using flickr - not sure if it is the best but I was in a panic when I realised our laptop was showing signs that it was about to die on us!

Depends on the amount of data involved.

I use Google Picasa which is handy for secure sharing of photos, Google Docs (which will store images as well as docs) and the free version of Mozy (will backup up to 2GB). MozyHome Unlimited is around £55 per year.

If you have lots of data (so say more than 5GB) then a paid service like CrashPlan could be done on a month by month payment basis or yearly payment (it's around $30 for 10GB of storage, $60 for unlimited - per year).

Microsoft SkyDrive gives you 25GB for free.

ADrive gives 50GB for free and you can trial their premium offering for 14 days.

Or just do what I do and copy everything to a USB hard drive then leave it at a mates house.
