why won't my webcam work in Skype?

Have external Philips PSZ2000 webcam. Drivers all up to date, works fine just on computer with Windows. When I use it with skype Skype tells me that it is working well but instead of a picture just get buffering circle on black screen. Help please.

I'm not using Skype myself, but are you using Skype OK without the webcam ?

Also, have you done any speed tests (eg at www.speedtest.net or the one from www.thinkbroadband.com ) ?
