Can I remove programs from a shared PC?

Use a shared PC for work and wgen I log on under my user name, it's just so slow.
Most of the stuff on there has nothing to do with me and is used by other person sharing the PC.
Can I remove some of these programs from my side of the PC....does that make any sense?
Or can I at least stop so many things starting up when I log on?

It depends what they are - some things will be installed just for the user, but most things I think, won;t be. And I think even if you removed them from your 'side' it wouldn't make a difference to the speen.
Might be better if you make a list and go through with the other person what they actually need - and at the same time tell whoever deals with your IT that your computer is running very slowly as it may not be anything to do with that.
