Depends who you get serving you. My friend got hers replaced for free on her iphone as a good will gesture because it was the first time it had happened - not sure if thats because the fella fancied the pants off her though Grin speak nicely to them and you might get it for free as well.

We just got a replacement from Apple for an itouch that was 8 months old free of charge as the screen wasn't working. Not sure if it would be the same for you but worth checking.

Is it covered under any insurance policies? Your household insurance may well cover it (mine would), or if you paid by credit card, and it is less than thirty days old, I have a sneaking suspicion that it may also be covered by that.

Thanked
I asked locally and it was £80

Don't think it is worth claiming under household insurance as there is a excess and will lose no claims bonus and I think we are out of the 30 days for credit card

Will also try apple and see if they will be nice about fixing it.
