have virgin at moment and it's shite. need something that has fast access to internet, ie facebook and twitter, but is not too expensive.

Define too expensive (ie what have you been spending to date?)

Is Three available in your area, as they have some phones which offer Skype and FB (never used FB nor Twitter from a phone so you'd be best going into a Three shop).
