When I type go it puts it into the up pointing arrows ^ thus and on mumsnet makes it accenty and everywhere else it looks stupid.

I only did it once here (put it in the arrows) afaik. It hasn't done it with any other words.

How do I tell it to stop doing it with my go s?

There is a keyboard setting on my iPhone, under general. Not sure if it's the same on iPad.

My phone does the same thing with ^do for some reason. I didn't think I typed it that often.

in Settings - General -Keyboard you can turn off various things including auto correction, spell checking etc and you can also check you have the correct international keyboard set (bottom option)

Bugger.

I can switch it off but then I have to switch off all of auto correct which I am becoming quite fond of.

Why has it learnt that?

Grrrrr

My iPhone does it to Me^ Hmm

SlubberIsNotGettingEHU · 31/01/2011 15:26

It is SO annoying.

I dare not put any other little words inside the arrows in case it happens again.

I think if you keep typing it and saying no to the autocorrect it will eventually relearn- until the next time you do it....

SlubberIsNotGettingEHU · 31/01/2011 18:59

Ok

will persist in telling it NO.

thanks Rusty.
