street cred xbox games for 12 year old?

Up to now I have refused DS xbox games which are higher than a 12 rating.

He would love to play the fighting games that are rated 15 or 18. I have recently allowed him to play Halo as this doesn't have bad language or to much gore and it is also more fantasy.

He is 12 in a few weeks and wanted to buy him a new game. I am aware that all his friends are allowed any games despite the age rating so I wanted to buy him a game which wont embarrass him.

I am willing to allow him to have a 15 rated game as long as the content is not too graphic and it does not contain bad language. I would also prefare it to be a fantasy game. Maybe Fable?

Any ideas for a suitable but credible game?

I have no doubt in my mind he hers worse things on a daily basis at school then he would on any game.

The bad language thing is a barrier, what do you call bad language? what classes?.

Personally I'd get Red Dead Redemption but it has colourful language in it, depends what you object to.

Hardly any games contain gore or do you mean violence?

Could get BlazBlue or Street Fighter if he wants fighting, or hold off for the release of Marvel vs Capcom 3.

I'm sure he does hear plenty of bad language at school and probably uses it himself on occasions, but I don't see the need to add to it in the home. Besides I cant guarantee 8yo DS wont see it.

I don't want a game which shows blood and guts when blowing somebody up. I don't like games like Grand Theft Auto where you are encouraged to take out anything in your way.

DS downloaded a demo of Batman today. I dont mind this kind of game too much with all the good versus evil storyline. He also likes the Starwars unleashed games.

What about the Lego games? Lego Batman etc
