Sky HD box - Help

Our sky HD box is not receiving many of the channels including BBC 1 and 2. I've tried switching it off at the mains - but nothing. Just says 'no satellite signal being received'. Any ideas, or will I have to call them out?

Check your dish. Make sure there's no break in your cable. That its pointing in the same direction it was before and hasn't been moved.

A dish only has to be moved a tiny bit and it will miss the satellite by miles.

Oh and nothing is blocking the view.

Thanks for the reply. I think the cables and dish are ok. We are receiving some channels so I think it must be the box.

They may be able to try a reset over the phone - we had this a couple of times, and they get you to press a button, or a mix of buttons, I don't remember what exactly. It's even more of a reboot than turning it off at the mains.
