I've reset the connection, entered the password. Repeated this process umpteen times. I know the settings and password are correct so why won't it connect?

Do you need to put the router into pairing mode?
Also some devices can be very fussy about how you put the password in - with iPhones on our Orange livebox you need to use the shift key every time to enter the capital letters, rather than having the shift/caps lock on and though the password is shown with spaces on the livebox, you don't put them in

Has it ever connected?

Mine stopped connecting after a couple of weeks and eventually had to go back. Amazon were very helpful and took me through loads of things to try and fix it but it wasn't to be...

They sent me a replacement and then the knackered one went back.

In the interim, you can download by plugging the kindle in to the computer.

It worked fine when I first set it up. Have managed to download via wifi but now it won't work. My password is numerical so no shift key issue. I also re-entered the password on my IPhone and that connected to the wifi without a hitch. I'm going to try it at work today where we have an open wifi connection. If it doesn't work there then I know it is a fault with the Kindle.

Interesting to know that you had the same problem Doyouthink. Does the replacement one work ok?

I know I can sync via the computer but that defeats the whole wifi download books anywhere idea!

The relacement works fine.....so far.

Contact Amazon, I found the number on the website under Kindle support. They were very helpful and once they realised nothing was working, I got a replacement with no hassle.

A lovely man called Peter managed to get my Kindle back working last night. Sounded lovely! There was a problem with the Kindle seeing the home wifi and also syncing. Both now working fine. Smile
