Iphone update has deleted all my numbers etc.

Hi

I plugged in i-phone to computer to put some music on, it flashed up with Download 4.2 available. Very good I thought and downloaded, but now i have realised that is has deleted all my numbers, pictures, text messages. AAHH!

anyone got any advice to get this back?

You might be able to recover deleted data. There are programs available that can do that.

It is more complicated on the iPhone because its not straight forward to mount it as a hard drive on your computer, and to run the recovery programs you need to have the iPhone recognized as a drive.

Also, for future I would sign up for an allmynumbers account which allows you to backup your SIM phone numbers and mobile phone numbers.

Its a manual entry system, but its a great backup.
