Which blog hosting site is best?

I'd like to start a blog , but I don't know which hosting service to go with.

Is it worth paying out for something like typepad, or are the free sites just as good?

Haven't a clue! I use blogspot for bits and pieces - it's free, and you can have different blogs for different things. Why not start with one of the free ones - preferably one that has an adclick service - and see if it's worth paying for one of the premium places when you've been at it a while and gauged your traffic?

I use blogspot, templates are pretty good, seems easy enough to use.

I like Wordpress. I;m not in the slightest techy and find it pretty easy. Blogspot pisses me off as it's difficult to comment on it.

Thanks everyone. Good point about blogspot earwicga, I always struggle to comment on blogspot. Wordpress it is - with a potential to upgrade to something more fancy in the unlikely event of anyone reading it :o.
