Help! Infuriating! Laptop only lets me get online some of the time.

There are three computers in the house. The other two are OK but dds will only let her get online some of the time.

2 in 5 times she gets on as normal. The rest of the time it doesn't seem to recognise that the router (wireless) is there. It displays all the surrounding connections (ie our neighbour's) but not ours. We know its the computer other than the router as the others work fine all this time.

It's driving her mad not least because she has homework to do on it.

Any suggestions would be very welcome.

Is something interfering with the signal? my neighbours digibox thing interfered with my wi fi

Don't think so usualsuspect because the other laptop which I'm using works fine and always gets online.

Is there a wireless button on the laptop that keeps getting switched off accidently. I've got one near my power button. It's blue but if I hit it, it changes to red.

Sorted it by ringing virgin and they talked me through resetting it with a new name on a new channel.
