I was actually looking at this blog entry just before reading your thread. It looks interesting once you get past the blogger's fascinating abuse of the English language...

I was worried i was being ignored.

Currently pondering purchase from Apple store... Long iPad cable, Airport Extreme and a keyboard.

I only have the long iPad cable out of those, but it's so useful - it stretches right over the back of the sofa from the socket behind.

I'm nearly always on the sofa or in bed when I'm on my iPad, so I think I'd probably find a separate keyboard awkward - but I've just started using iPad with SoundNote to take minutes in meetings at work, so I've begun to think about a keyboard (I might even get it paid for by work!)

If you are looking for something to get - or for someone to get for you - I can recommend the photo uploader, if you have a camera with an SD card - makes uploading photos dead easy.

I'm often sitting at the kitchen table with it, looking at the chores i am meant to be doing.

I couldn't understand a word of that blog!! I can not for the life of me work out how the English could be that bad. Unless it was typed on an iPad and he's not checked the auto corrected wording.

I think maybe he just ran it through Google's translator!

I particularly like the 'Words with Friends' entry:

"While the paid chronicle of Words With Friends HD has been enjoyed by iPad owners who have been peaceful to outlay US$2.99 for utterly the small time, those of we seeking for the giveaway chronicle have been right away in luck." Apparently the writer spends "the good cube of his day" on this app....

:o

I was a little concerned that the military apparently burst in on someone to recover a lost iPad.

So, Ive just taken delivery of my shiney new bluetooth keyboard. So far so good.

It is nice to type on, has all the punctuation and numeric keys available right in front of me and is big enough to type on (about an inch and a half longer than the ipad) but still small enough to be portable. It has cursor keys!

And it is lovely to look at, as you would expect from Apple Grin

However, it is amazing how i am now used to pressing the key to get numbers and symbols etc. Im going to have to train myself out of it because the key that is where those would be on the onscreen keyboard doesn't do that!

[happy sigh]
