DD loves preschool memory match and a free version of Dora the explorer.

My friend recommended the Thomas and friends one, it costs a few quid but looks quite good.

I've never paid for an app yet, I've just got loads of freebies. When I want to buy one can I use iTunes vouchers?

pocket zoo is fab (and i think free). You can go around a zoo, look and listen to animals and they have live webcams and little educational videos. Both Dd's (4 and 2) love it

Veg Samurai! - tame martial-arts esque vegetable slicing game great in small doses.

Kidart and Drawcast for a simple drawing pad

All have free versions.

My DS2 (3) loves ShapeBuilder (there's a free one and paid for upgrade which we felt was worth paying for) and building Martian (s)

DS1 (5) is starting to enjoy Doodle Find when we read out what he needs to find.

DH has also just found one called pocketphonic for DS1 which we have tried, but he hasn't had a chance to yet, but it seems very good for learning phonics and letters including in cursive script.

FlipMemory is also good.

They both love Cut the Rope and Fruit Ninja (I assume like Veg Samuari!)

The Toy Story interactive Book app is a good one.
