Best place to create a free blog ?

Have a hobby making all sorts of craft stuff and sell the odd thing. People often ask to see pictures of the things I make and I thought a blog might be a good way to do this. I can't afford to pay for one so wondered if there are any good sites to use to set up a free one ?

I used to use blogger.com which is now a part of Google. It was easy to use "out of the box" but also easy to customise if you wanted to dive down into the guts of it.

cheers - I looked at wordpress but it seemed to have a charge attacvhed to it ?
Blogger sounds good - does it generate loads of spam email ?

I use Blogger and find it very easy to use. I like the look of Wordpress but find it is not so easy to follow blogs on Wordpress - that may be just the way the people have them set up though.
