Alchemy Classic help!

I'm stuck.. I've got about 120 elements.

I can't make ice, and understand that I need that to make everything else..

I think ice was cold and snow, or cold and water or snow and water thats probably not much help is it? I have only got 45 elements so far, will have to restrain myself from looking at that cheatsheet posted above...
