Why did noone ever tell me about the loading times. Seriously we have just got a ps3 after having an xbox360 for about 4 years and it's a nightmare. System/software upgrades take about a million years, even getting an old game to frigging play is a lengthy process.

Xbox just seems so much more simple. I just want to play something

updates are a nuisance I have to say. You think ' oh good I have a rare spare half an hour to play something' then the ps3 decides you arent allowed to play it without n update. 20 minutes later and fun time is over :(

I was just about to start a topic on this, but yours came up in a search. I have only ever used Nintendo consoles before. It's a complete shocker. Why is this thought to be OK? I have just sat down to see if I could buy a wee casual game that I know my husband will disapprove of and have a cheeky go before he gets home. To log on to the PS store I need an update, which it is still doing. He's just phoned to say he's on his way home. Where, as OYBBKitten says, is the fun in that? Oh, it's done the downloading and is now doing the installing. Great.

Will we ever buy Sony consoles again?

That my dear is the wonder of Blu-Ray, behold the future and embrace it, for it is great, behold the might of the blu-ray with it's increase capacity leading to slower disc reading time.

You can stick your updates, I'm plaining on Jailbreaking mine so it hasn't been updated for time, still it's rather sad really to buy a console and find the most interesting/exciting prospect being jailbreaking it so it can run the Dreamcast emulator.

I love my Dreamcast Grin.
