Can anyone tell me if people can track wehether you've been looking at their profile on Facebook. I don't post anything, but I wondered if people could tell that I've been looking at their account. Nothing sinister by the way - just a genuine question. I am not a stalker or anything!!

No, I'm pretty sure that they can't.

You get the occasional app which claims that it will tell you who is looking at your profile but they're a scam and trying to get at your information.

I don't know of an official way to track it but FB suggests friends for you and I rather think one way it thinks of who to suggest, is people who've been looking at your account.

so if you look at someone's account, FB might suggest you as a friend to them, which might make them suspect you've been looking at them - but equally, it might just be suggesting you because you have friends in common/went to the same school etc.
