I'm thinking of getting one for DH, but what's the difference between all the versions and which one should I get? Am a bit clueless...BlushGrin

I can't answer this BUT I can send you off to find out...Curry's and PC World and similar companies ALWAYS do reviews and customer reviews. I would recommend perhaps looking at an American electronics supplier, as they've had them longer and probably would have found glitches...Sorry I'm not much more use.

Definitely get the 3G version. Means you can use it out and about. £10 per month on a rolling contract.

My best gadget ever, it doesn't leave my side and I rarely use the mac now.

Thanks both. I'll have a look for reviews. Any opinions on what memory one to get? I'd quite like to not spend huger amounts than necessary but on the other hand I don't want DH to be frustrated if the memory is such that he can't do stuff.

Mines a 32g I have plenty of room left despite having a fairly extensive iTunes. Dh has 64g because he downloads movies but I'm sure he doesn't need anywhere near that amount.

We have 64gb, but only cause the 32g was out of stock when DH bought it.

Whether you get the wifi on 3g depends on how you are going to use it. We only use it at home so the wifi was enough.

I have read about gadget that you can use with bluetooth connection to use the web when out and about, kind of like a dongle for a laptop. I may get one of those for the occasional time that we want to use it elsewhere.

Ooh thank you. I'm getting a bit nervous about buying one without DH's input in case I get it wrong. He will definitely be using it out and about a lot so I guess 3G is probably important for him.

Do make sure that you borrow it. MNetting on it is great.

RustyBear · 05/10/2010 21:37

MmeLindt - that's why I have the 64gb too! Mine is more than half full now though - mainly with episodes of Doctor Who, Buffy and The Thick Of It....

We have 41gb available so a long way off. I don't have many tv series or films on it, do have a bit of music.
