Will it stay on the Ipod when I plug it back in?

So if i deleted from my documents and didnt even touch ITunes, when I next plug my ipod in, will the songs stay?!

TIA

If you manually manage the music on your iPod then you can just delete the music out of iTunes without any problems.

If you automatically sync the music then I'm not sure what will happen. iTunes will certainly be a little grump as it's database of music will start to become "wrong", but I'm not sure if it will then delete the music off of the iPod.

If you want music on your iPod that isn't on your PC then the best thing to do is just to manually manage the iPod and then delete the music properly from iTunes.

That means that you can free up all that space on the computer that is holding music that you just want on your iPod, there's no need for it to be there.

You can find instructions on how to set up manually managing here:

The difference you will notice is that when you import new music into iTunes you'll have to copy it manually to your iPod.
