Can anyone help with a worm ? ds has a usb stick for school work and has been merrily finsihing pieces of work on our pc at home to print off (which apparently he should n't have done but noone told him otherwise!). The school computers have diagnosed it with a worm and now he isn't allowed to use it there. I've copied the files across to our pc now and our scans (Spyware Doctor) show no viruses. Confused How do we "clean" the stick or must he ask for a new one ?

have you run your virus checker over the USB stick and not just the files you've copied onto your PC? Is your virus checker up to date? Have the school told you what the worm is? If the school's virus checker has identified the worm it should also be able to clean it up. Companies often provide a sheep dip machine for this purpose so maybe the school should do this as well.

Just reformating the USB stick should clear most things, shouldn't it?
