Linkedin keeps opening in French

And I'd really like it in english as i don't speak french! Any ideas how I can change it please? It's the '.com' version bit all the titles and headings are in french.

"You can choose to use any currently supported language interface from the 'Language' drop down at the bottom right hand of any LinkedIn page. You will be able to change the language in which you want to view LinkedIn at any time, and as often as you'd like. Once you select to view the site in a particular language, the LinkedIn site and all LinkedIn generated content will be in the selected language.

All user generated content will be sent in the language in which it is written and will not be translated (e.g., Profile, email messages, Answers, Recommendations, etc.).

On the french page the item is called "Langue"

Have you tired logging out and logging back in again? It could be that somehow you have been routed via a french server - that happened to me occasionally in my last job (big telco) when our connection was going through thier Dutch server and all the ads were in dutch.

(The wee bit you quoted is just saying the generla Ts &Cs of LinkedIn and nothing to be worried about)

even if I now do a search on google for linkedin it will open it in french. I'll try shutting the whole Mac down later and trying again that way. thanks for your help

The server shouldn't effect it (but anything is possible). My company routes it's internet connection via Germany which means I get a lot of german adverts, but linkedin is still english.

Which page are you looking at? If I set my Linkedin to french I don't get the text you pasted.

Unless different web browsers are treated differently? Mine is Firefox 3.6.10.

if I put 'linked in' in google, the top otpion is linkedin.com and underneath there are lots of sub headings in english but when I click on anything to go to linkedin, it brings up the page in french. whatever bit i click on, whatever page I open, always in french. Bizarre huh?

I went in through Safari instead of Firefox and it opened fine in English.
