Why does Facebook keep saying my phone has an abusive / spammy IP address?

Several times this week Facebook has blocked my blackberry as it says it has a bad IP address.

Today it wouldn't let me update my status (non sweary grumble about a car park) as it was abusive / spam.

Any ideas what is going wrong?

FB is fine on my laptop though so it's not me as such, just the blackberry IP that FB doesn't like.

Have to go to bed so will return tomorrow. TIA.

I don't know the details of FaceBook's anti-spam measures, so I can only offer a guess. Orange phones are very unlikely to have a fixed IP address. Somebody else on Orange has probably been doing something naughty on FaceBook. When they logged out of the Orange network, Orange will reassign the IP address they were using to another phone and you were the unlucky one. FaceBook can't tell that it's a different phone, they just have the IP Address, so the only way to fix it is to get a different IP address.
