Anyone had problems with a company called Logofresh? Or help with an EPS file?

I used the Logofresh website to design a logo for my business. I saved a couple to show DH and then settled on one. I sent it off, but when they confirmed it, it was one of the rejected ones.

I emailed immediately to ask them to reformat it (which their website said they would do within 24hrs for free).

I had no response and then the next day they sent the EPS file with it wrongly formatted.

Since then (2 weeks) i have emailed about 6 times to 2 different email addresses but absolutely no reply.

There is no customer services helpline as apparently their website or email service can resolve all problems Hmm

Just wondering if anyone else had had any problems with this company and how they were resolved? Should i report them to trading standards?

Finally, does anyone know how i (or my rather more tecchie DH) can open the EPS file and reformat it ourselves?

TIA
Smile

Search the web for EPS editor. It will be some sort of graphics program, but I do not know if there are any free ones out there.

I have never even heard of that company, so can't help you there!!

Thanks, will try and search for a freebie editor programme

EPS Files are weird, they can actually contain two different files within itself. One is a "bitmap" preview of the file and the other is the file itself in a "vector" format. Most graphic applications work with "bitmap" images, and the trick is to make sure that whatever application you use actually works with the proper "vector" image inside the file.

Without buying a proper heavy duty art package this might be tricky.

I believe that the GIMP package can do the trick. But it sounds like it can be a bit fiddly to get it to work with the right bit of the EPS file.

You can get GIMP here (you didn't say what Operating System you use but GIMP supports many):
www.gimp.org/

Guessing you're on 32 bit Windows there's some information here from someone who had trouble getting EPS files to work and found the solution:

Thankyou Badger Smile. All looks like gobbledegook to me, but hopefully DH will nod, scratch his chin a couple of times and then be able to sort it out Grin

Just peed off with the company though as i suspect they can do it in about 30 seconds Angry

Did you pay by credit card? If you did, tell them you are disputing the payment if it's not resolved satisfactorily in a week.

Thanks for the suggestion Cruel. Unfortunately I paid on a debit card. Normally I would do these things on DH's credit card but he was out i think. Live and learn Hmm
