Using Wifi Ipad on aeroplane

Can I use my Wifi only Ipad on an aeroplane? There is no Airplane Mode and I've had a look in the manual but can't seem to get a clear answer.

Any help gratefully received!

You should turn the WiFi off before you board the airplane and then it should be OK.
