Why is my email suddenly not remembering addresses?

I use Microsoft Outlook. Normally when I open a new email and start a familiar address it offers me options to complete the address, based on previously sent emails. This morning, it's not doing that and I'm having to go and look each one up! Can anyone help please? TIA.

I had this happen, and Outlook had become corrupted. Had to get the IT people to sort it out.

I get this with Microsoft Mail (Vista). It seems to remember some addresses but not all. Or certain addresses only some of the time.

It's very irritating as when I check whether the 'missing' addresses are actually in the Address Book they always are.

You can kind of help it along by clicking on the address book icon at the top of the email (once you've typed the first couple of letters of the name) and selecting the address you want, but you shouldn't have to do that.

Just to add, the background to the open window, whether email or internet has now gone white, rather than the usual blue colour, so not sure if that's related.

Bizarrely, all back to normal now but still curious what caused it!
