Was getting messages flashing up when I loaded my pc up about apple sync notifier or something like that not working, my techno dinosaur husband said I needed to uninstall anything apple. So I did Confused(which was really stupid looking back)and itunes is not working properly on my pc now.

Get the message "Apple application support not found, please uninstall itunes then reinstall"

But worried if I do this that we will lose all purchased and other music we loaded onto it.

Can anyone help please? What do I need to do to sort it?

It's a pain. You may need to follow the instructions here I think. Once you've uninstalled everything on that list in order, install the latest iTunes. It should find your music etc again. It won't have deleted any of your music or purchased files.

You could try just installing iTunes again from apple.com/itunes but if you've lost some of the supporting software, you might be as well off starting from scratch by following the instructions in the first link. HTH

If you can save them somewhere else it won't do any harm to do so. The reinstall really shouldn't delete anything, but if you want the peace of mind and you have the disk space, you might as well make a temporary copy until you know for sure.
