Is there a new iPod Touch due out soon?

Is there? planning to get them for DSs but will wait if there's a new one on the horizon

Lots of rumours but Apple have announced an 'invitation only event' for September 1st, so I'd hold off till then at least....

Yes, I'd seen rumours for September but nothing concrete (so thought i'd ask here, on the font of allnowledge :)). Glad i thought to Google rather than checkout the 2 i had in my basket from sainsburys!

It's highly likely that the 1st September event is the iPod event (and possibly Apple TV) so yes - hold off for a week or two until we know more.

Well, it wasn't a new iPod, it was a new social networking function on iTunes 10 and an update for apple TV

Actually, cancel that last post, there was a new iPod touch as well, it just wasn't mentioned on the BBC news that I read first.
