BTFON is a network of wireless hotspots for (some) customers of BT Broadband.

Whether you can access BTFON hotspots depends on what category of BT's broadband service you pay for, as far as I know.

To create this network, BT has set their (customers') broadband routers to offer the wireless network 'BTFON' SSID, for any legitimate customers to use.
