Would I get charged extra if I text DH in US English number to English number?

Am on contract, and just wondered if I could text DH without being charged extra? I am in the UK he is in USA!

you won't get charged. But he will get charged extra to receive the text.

If both on a UK contract then it's just normal text price / part of your bundle. If he texts you it will cost him BUT if he uses MMS to text back it will be normal price!

He won't get charged to receive the text just phonecalls.

cool! he has company phone so he won,t actually pay!

oh yes apols sorry Pauline quite right - it's just calls you get charged extra to receive while abroad.
