I want an iphone - do you think Orange will let me have one 'early'?

Apparently I can't upgrade to an iphone until end of Oct at the earliest on the contract I've got at the moment. If I rang them and asked what are the chances they'd let me?

I think they will.

I'm sure we got ours early.

If you are prepared to pay them loads chances are high... If not you may need to wait a bit longer.

Nope, I asked yesterday (not due an upgrade til November) and they said a big, fat NO

I asked too and offered to buy out contract, they said no

My DH was due an upgrade in ONE WEEK when his phone died. He rang orange to ask if he could have it early and they sent him a replacement phone for 5 whole days...

Try telling them that if they don't upgrade you that you intend to leave them when your contract ends. This may sway them.

oh well, thanks for the replies. I won't have to humiliate myself with being told no by the 15 year old who works in the call centre now at least.

ledodgy - good idea. will have to do some research about other network deals then.

ledodgy - DH tried that, and tried getting said 15 year old on side as to how stupid it was, and explained how much they would waste on postage. Still no luck
