photo quality on the iphone 4

Hi, I need a new digital stills and movie camera, I also love my itouch and its in my bag most of the time.
I was wondering if the new iphone could solve having to carry a camera around.

Does anyone have one that could tell me about the photos, are they any good?

Yes, DH has one and they are excellent, the videos are great quality too. I have a 3GS and you can definitely tell the difference between them. It could replace a normal point and shoot camera IMO. You'd probably be able to have a play with one in an Apple shop or other phone shop if they stock them to see for yourself.

The thing is that I don't actually need a phone as work give me blackberry. but .... rumours are that there's a new itouch due out in september which is going to have the same design as the new iphone but without the phone! how excited am I . So I'm going to sell my itouch on ebay and wait for the new one
