Our phone line is with Sky and that gives us an answerphone facility (1571) but our actual phone has an answerphone as well. It seems to be fairly random which one picks up missed calls first! I always check the display on the phone for messages but rarely notice if the dial tone is different for the Sky messages. Does anyone know if I can turn the Sky answerphone facility off?

I have a horrible feeling that you need to phone sky and ask them to de-activate any of the services that they offer, even the answerphone. I could be wrong, but im sure my parents were blabbing on about it afew weeks back.

Try google.

Really? What do you mean by deactivate all of the services?

Any simple little thing - such as caller ID, Answer phone, Saved Numbers and so on. You actually have to call Sky to get them to cancel or delete anything. Apparently.
