HELP PLEASE!!!
I will confess to being absolutely crap with mobile phones I can't even text. I've had a Motorola Pebl for about 3 years now but wanted a phone with GPS and internet so decided to upgrade. Iphone too expensive so have gone for an android phone. I'm in France so have just bought Orange's own android phone called a Tactile Internet.
I didn't change my tariff because I wanted to wait until I got the phone as didn't want to start paying before I had the goodies if you know what I mean.
New phone arrived today, seems beautiful, changed it's language to English so it's really easy to follow and inserted SIM card from the Motorola Pebl as I thought I would still be able to use it for calls until I changed my tariff. It's not recognising the SIM card.
Does this mean, that you need a special SIM card for these phones and I can't just swap over like I have done in the past?
I'm presuming I will only get the SIM card once I change my tariff?
I really, really want to play on this phone, I was going to send myself emails and have the mumsnet application and everything - I'm so disappointed I can't even get the damn thing to make a call.
If you can advise me on all of this I would appreciate it, I'm going to go to the Orange shop tomorrow and don't want to look a complete numpty - but when it comes to mobile phones I'm way back with the dinosaurs.
