several of my keys stopped working when juice got on the keyboard. Has it had a liquid spill? Sounds like 0 and I are linked. Mine needed a new topcase in the end - £75

You can check this by connecting a USB keyboard (one from any desktop Mac would do, for instance) and seeing if you can use O and I with that- if you can, it's the Macbook's keyboard and you'll need a new one.

Hi - thanks for advice. Been to the Mac store and needs new keyboard . It's only 17 months old!

The worst part is DP who is very much in the PC camp, is reminding me how long his PC lasted with zero repairs. Grrrr
