Strawberry Plants - all foliage, no fruit - Help!

Hello,

This si the first year I have grown strawberries. I got some plug plants in the spring and planted them in an old tin tub in the greenhouse. They are really healthy with loads of leaves and runners (I cut the runners off) but there are no flowers or fruit. I moved them outside a month or so ago but they are still just big green leafy plants. Where am i going wrong?

You'll get fruit next year so dont wory. Keep them outside now too, they dont need a greenhouse.

Are you maybe overfeeding them?

If you give them to much high nitrogen feeds they may grow leaf at the expense of flowers and fruits.

You could try a flower and fruit feed (once a week or so only).

Mine are just the same with lots of runners, should I pick the runners off?

give them tomorite (tomato fertiliser) - stimulates the formation of flowers and fruit, see the bottle for instructions, works like a charm
