How many slabs will I need?

The area is 10ft square the slabs are 2ft square, How many will I need?

???area is 10ft square? or is the area 10ft long by 10ft wide which would equal 100ft square?

are slabs 2ft square or 2ft long and 2ft wide which would be 4ft square? sorry for sounding difficult but you need to be accurate if you want the right amount of pavers calculated.

Nightshade is right - I was being literal (I think)

I was thinking a space 10 ft by 10 ft with pavers 2ft by 2ft

So 5 slabs down each side
