Have you managed to grow one in your london garden? The Rhs says it is frost hardy, but may need protection, so maybe I should keep in a pot and move in when very cold. I would prefer to put in the soil.

We had one for years in our west london garden, it really thrived. A few of our neighbours had one too, and they all seemed to establish very easily. We never did anything special to protect from frost, and it was planted straight in to the ground. Good luck, they are beautiful.
