What can I put in my window boxes now?

My Petunias are passed their best so looking for something bright for the window boxes. What's best for this time of year?

Asters,pansies & cyclamen are all pretty colourful and in the garden centre at the moment.

I'd suggest winter pansies, too. And cyclamen are lovely.

in Germany, you often see arrangements with sprigs of evergreen and small squashes, or cobs of corn, or even artificial flowers. Im going to go for pansies though. I already have 2 small box trees and a variegated ivy in the tub.

ditto winter pansies. survive anything and v cheerful.
and plant some little narcissi underneath them to give you a nice surprise in the spring

just bought some violas (smaller than pansies) and cineraria? wish there was a spell checker! Also plant small grasses.
