SUNFLOWER SEEDS..........

We planted about 6 sunflower seeds in a little pot given to us at the jump up day. I didn't think anymore of it but looked yesterday and all the seeds have sprouted!! Do i need to move them into one per pot or is it best not to disturb them? They are all together in the same little spot so I assume that's not going to help them!?

The usual advice is to wait until they have their first leaves, then carefully transplant the seedlings into individual pots.

Do you thnk they'll all come up being so close together? ( dd made a hole in the soil with her finger and they're all in there together!)

You could try to tease them apart a bit, but usually if you try to move them before the first leaves appear then they won't survive. If they've only just started to come through I wouldn't risk it.

ok, will leave them for a while. Thank you!
