Fake owl/cat/falcon

The birds eat all my cherries and then poo all over the garden.
We have done the CDs but I dont think we did enough.

Does anyone have the fake owl/falcon/cat things and do they work?

Have just spotted your post, I posted the other post about birds and cherries. Am interested to know the answer to this too

No fake owl/cat/falcon here.We had a fake heron here when we moved in ( niiiiice......). It was by the pond, I guess to deter other smaller birds. TBH, I have no idea if it worked, the birds in our garden never go near the pond. Its incredibly shallow and occasionally has the odd frog in so probably not much interest to them.

I am, however, in the process of making an old stylie scarecrow with the DC for the veg patch as its looking like a good year for the blackcurrants. We shall see if it has any impact, but I think the sight of it will cheer me up anyway.

I think I know the heron you are referring to. Lovely!

Not sure a scarecrow would work for our cherry tree, it's very high and the pigeons are very streetwise. Not even the sight of me in my scarecrow gardening clothes waving a stick round my head scares them.

Maybe a scarecrow high up in the top branches? Lord knows how you'd get it up there though

My tree is quite big as well Hairy. I think it's so rude that not only do they eat all my cherries, then they crap all over my patio. It drives me mad!
