Gardening virgin needs help re courgettes!

I have repotted my courgette seedlings into pots as only have a yard. I am trying to grow courgettes and peppers this year.

Trouble is.....I think courgettes need space to spread don't they? How can I give them that? Will they climb up sticks do you think? Or will I have to replant into grobags and risk the slugs eating them.

Any advice gratefully received.

Courgettes need to spread out on the ground. Grobags are fine. Just don't put them out yet.

Oh - too late, they are out but in a sheltered spot so hopefully they will be OK.
