Fluorescent orange spots on rose leaves

I have a climbing rose. I have noticed over the last few days that some of the leaves on the plant have fluorescent-looking orange spots on them - it'll often be just one spot per leaf.

(I also have noticed today lots of aphids congregating on the buds which I'm planning to tackle later - not sure if the two things are connected?)

Any idea what the day-glow orange thing can be and what I should do? (If there's any way of tackling it without chemicals that would be nice because I'm a bit phobic of them!)

Thanks

Sounds like rose rust. Little orange pustule type things on underside of leaf? You need to get a fungicide and spray, after picking off and disposing of the leaves.

Sounds like rust.

I've found a link that may help.
