What is a small garden?

I'd always thought of a small garden as being 20ft by 20ft and less (meaning mine is at the top of the small scale!!!)

Anyway a friend of a friend was talking about her 'tiny' garden and asking if any of us know where she could get a reasonable priced trampoline to put in said 'tiny' (she stressed the word tiny quite a lot) and she wanted a 8ft one.

I asked her what size her garden was (because she kept saying it was 'tiny' and I was surprised that she'd want an 8ft trampoline in her garden if it were tiny (because to my mind a tiny garden would probably be around 8ft!!) Her answer was 'tiny' so I'm not the wiser!!!

Anyway after all that rambling what do you class as a tiny garden?

same as you 20 x20. The df of the df obviously has a park.

That's what I thought!! Don't think she knows herself really

Just realised that I asked what you though a 'tiny' garden was I meant small like I had asked in the subject

I think I might have written tiny after hearing it repeatedly the other day!!!

alternatively, a garden where you can cut all the grass with your flymo plugged in through the kitchen window !

Surely, 20 foot by 20 foot is a backyard?

BallpointPen · 11/05/2010 13:55

It has grass......

So when does grass become a lawn?

A friend of mine went to a talk recently where someone talked about her small garden - turned out to be something over half an acre.

I usually describe mine as 'much smaller than I'd like, but bigger than I used to have' - it's a third of an acre. I lust after the office car park to the rear of our garden - if DH's business ever makes it big, we'll be buying up that car park straight away!
