honeysuckle in a container?

Can this be done to cover my external house wall? Sorry if it sounds like a stupid question..

I guess the bigger the pot, the more it can grow and the more wall it will cover.

Yes - I have a honeysuckle in a pot that I bought with me from my previous house.
I planned to plant it out but didn't get round to it - 2 summers later it has flourished in the pot.
We've just had a pergola built so I will be plantint it in the ground, but being in the pot doesn't seem to have held it back
